Reactive obsolescence management aims to act quickly to react to current discontinuations and avert problems (such as production stoppages). This form of obsolescence management is commissioned when it is almost too late and critical components in the bill of materials could significantly impair further production.

Proactive obsolescence management

Proactive obsolescence management aims to optimize the parts list of existing assemblies. We directly check which components are already critical and which could become critical in the next few years to create a comprehensive risk analysis. Subsequently, depending on the customer’s requirements, appropriate alternatives or substitutes can also be identified for proactive obsolescence management.

Strategic obsolescence management

In strategic obsolescence management, we support our customers’ projects right from the start. We act as a development partner and check your parts list for discontinued components before prototyping to provide you with the basis for only installing components with low risk and thus enabling the production of the assembly over a longer period without complications. We are aware that the creativity of the developers must not be restricted.
