The experienced EMS service provider beflex electronic, headquartered in Frickenhausen near Stuttgart, is expanding its capability in an important area: Test equipment construction and development. The strategy is to provide permanent availability of test equipment to cover the last process step before delivery even more comprehensively.
This step has been urgently needed: beflex electronic took over four employees from KATEK’s test equipment manufacturing department in nearby Beuren last year and thus expanded its test equipment division. ‘Therefore we can always ensure that our customers’ testing technology requirements can be realized optimally and quickly. We expect this to increase our flexibility and expertise, enabling us to further convince our customers in the coming period,’ says Jens Arnold, Managing Director of the company.
For beflex (and its customers), the takeover of these employees has many advantages: independent test equipment development according to customer requirements (in-circuit test (ICT) including flying probe, functional tests, burn-in, safety tests, etc.), increased capacities for test processes for existing projects and growth in technical expertise within the company. ‘This is an opportunity for us to offer a wider range of EMS services and give our customers a further reason to entrust us with perhaps even more of their projects,’ says Stephan Eißele, Deputy Managing Director of beflex.
